Marimba speakers get good review

There are many different speakers, along with audio speaker cables, for music lovers to choose from and by taking advantage of reviews found online, consumers should be able to make their purchases with confidence.

Audiophiles may be interested in comments made by former movie theater projectionist Steve Guttenberg on CNET concerning Music Hall’s Marimba speakers

The expert, who now reviews audio products and works as a freelance writer, suggested that these items are “exceptional”. He said that despite their low-key looks, they have a solid feel that suggests they are worth more than they sell for.

Raving about the items, he said: “The Marimba kicks butt like few budget speakers can. It has attitude, and coming from Roy Hall, that’s what I expected.”

Mr Guttenberg compared the products with another pair of speakers and found they came out on top. About this, he said: “I pitted the Marimba against one of the best, most highly refined, budget-priced bookshelf speakers I had on hand, the PSB Alpha B1 ($300 per pair), and it was immediately obvious the Marimba was a better performer with Van Morrison’s… CD, ‘Born to Sing: No Plan B’.”

He suggested that the midrange was more natural and complete, meaning the vocals sounded more lifelike, while the mid bass “energized sound in ways the Alpha B1s couldn’t muster.”

Mr Guttenberg also revealed that the speakers jelled perfectly with his two-channel home theatre. He added: “While a subwoofer would have been nice, I was satisfied with the sound from just the two speakers.”

By making the effort to read reviews before selecting speakers, speaker cables and other products, consumers can help ensure they end up with the ideal solutions for them. These days, it is easier than ever to access authentic and reliable user reviews over the web, and people should not struggle to buy the products they are after too.
