Why More Of Us Are Choosing To Work From Home
The debate about whether people should be allowed to work from home or be forced to work from a specific office is still ranging on, with a huge number of major companies sitting on both sides of the fence (and plenty more happy to straddle it to see what happens). However, it would seem that more and more of us are choosing to work from home and that more businesses are happy to allow just that. So why is it that working from home is so appealing?
The flexibility of being able to have any job and complete it from anywhere in the world is extremely alluring. No longer does a dream job necessarily mean one has to up sticks and move to an area they have no interest in, and further more those already confined to a specific area may simply be able to move to the other side of the world without losing their job and being forced to look for new work.
There are plenty of individuals who will work a day or two in an office, then fly off to the sun to work for the rest of the week. For many, this even works out cheaper than a regular commute, with airfare currently being so low.
However, for most, it is the allure of working from one’s current home that is most appealing. Many are choosing to get their very own garden offices to allow them to not only work from home, but also to more effectively separate working life from home life and in turn get the many extra benefits of working close to nature in a very natural, inviting and inspiring environment.
Ultimately, with no commute, greater flexibility and far more down time, individuals will be happier when working from garden studios than from a dreary office, and therefore businesses will benefit from increased morale and interest, whilst the workers themselves will have a far better quality of life in the process.
