Join the Bodyguard Industry

Personal security has never been in so much demand from businesses and high net individuals. As such, there are plenty of job opportunities for people who are willing to undertake the necessary close protection training to become officially qualified as a bodyguard. Whereas in the past the security industry may have seemed a bit of an unregulated affair, the introduction of SIA regulations in 2001 has significantly improved standards within the work sector.

However, it is still worth ensuring that you sign up to bodyguard courses with an approved and established training provider who will be able to teach you everything that you need to know about the business. Whilst it is impossible to 100% guarantee work for anyone who completes such a course, there are work opportunities out there which are waiting to be found when you know where to look. That’s where training with an approved training provider can be worth its weight in gold. Not only will you learn the skills required to be a bodyguard, but a good training centre should also be willing to give you advice on how to find jobs once you are fully qualified.

Some of the top companies have links with agencies and companies that actively recruit newly qualified bodyguards. If you have any questions before signing up to a training centre, get in contact with them first. Any Training Provider worth their salt will be happy to answer all of your questions before you commit to joining one of their courses and be able to invite you to their Training Centre so you can meet the team and view the training facilities first hand. The Government has recognised that the private security industries play a critical role in backing up business and public security, and that the industry is in a state of positive transition. If you think you’re cut out to be a close protection officer, get in touch with an approved training provider.
