Global spend on IT outsourcing to rise
These days, many firms make use of IT support in London. For example, a considerable number of companies in the capital outsource this aspect of their operations to an IT company in London to save them time and hassle.
Indeed, spending on IT outsourcing is set to rise around the world, it has been suggested.
According to research conducted by Gartner, IT outsourcing is on pace to surpass $251 billion (£160 billion) this year. This would be a 2.1 per cent increase compared with 2011, when a total of $246.6 billion was spent.
The firm also noted that the fastest-growing segment within the IT outsourcing market is cloud computing. This is anticipated to expand by 48.7 per cent in 2012 to $5 billion, which is up from $3.4 billion last year.
Commenting on cloud services, director at Gartner Gregor Petri said: “Today, cloud computer services primarily provide automation of basic functions. As next-generation business applications come to market and existing applications are migrated to use automated operations and monitoring, increased value in terms of service consistency, agility and personnel reduction will be delivered.”
Gartner expects that there will be some impact from the ongoing business slowdown due to sovereign-debt issues in Europe and slowing exports in China. However, it anticipates that the IT outsourcing market in the emerging Asia/Pacific will experience significant growth.
The importance of effective IT solutions is greater now than ever before. If firms do not get this aspect of their operations right, they may well encounter a series of problems.
By sourcing expert help and making the most of IT support in London, bosses can make their lives easier. Taking advantage of third-party assistance in the form of an IT company in London means managers can spend more time on the other important tasks they face.
