Canvas Prints used in Shop Window Displays

Canvas prints are used by some stores to help boost the appearance of their window displays. This is not surprising when you consider how important a shop window display is in attracting potential customers into a shop. Window displays are an integral tool to any retailer, as it gives them the opportunity to display their items and offers to passing trade. The key to a good window display is to keep it fresh, inviting and fully representative of the products you sell.

Large format canvas prints have helped many retailers on the high street and in shopping centres to attract new customers. Canvas prints are relatively inexpensive, longer-lasting and more substantial than poster paper which is the common alternative. Canvases can either show off the latest fashions, or the current season’s trends and can be used as a backdrop to mannequins, or other shop window designs. Some retailers even use the canvas prints as advertising banners or even company logo’s to really make an impact to the customers passing by.

If you have a seasonal collection of vibrant, fluorescent products, such as hats, or scarves, then bright canvas prints may clash. Therefore subtle tonal colours may be more suitable, or even black and white images. These will provide an impressive backdrop helping to bring the bright products to life. If you have softer, tonal products then the reverse effect could work well. Using some photo-imaging software will enable you to play around and choose whether you need to go with a plain background canvas, a patterned print, or a full photo overlay of a mountain scene.

These canvases provide high impact messaging, but do so in a cost effective manner, which means they can be changed often throughout the year, meaning that your store front will always look fresh, giving the impression that you have new stock available. Hanging the canvas print is simple and as the canvas will not rip it means that the store will look elegant. Changing the canvas prints is also easy, so you do not need to spend the entire morning rearranging items in your window.
