Reducing the Hassle of Gardening
Gardening can be very therapeutic, but it can also be a rather large pain in the backside. After all, when the weather is great, it may be very appealing to get out and do some pruning and get the lawn mowed, but during times of excessive rain or cold weather, such a task will be far less inviting, and all the year’s hard work can go to waste very quickly.
The first thing to do for anyone who wishes to have a more attractive garden without the hassle of constantly gardening (literally, not in metaphorical John Le Carre manner) is to avoid having a large lawn. By replacing a great deal of your lawn with hardwood decking, you can maintain an extremely attractive look, but have far less to worry about in terms of actually maintaining your garden. Whilst buying decking may be slightly more expensive than laying turf in the first instance, it will save you a huge amount of money and time over the years and such decking boards will be able to be used all year round as opposed to simply when the sun is shining.
For the areas of your garden you do wish to keep living and breathing, don’t stress if things die. If plants die, it is usually a sign that they are not right for that particular area and therefore the best thing to do will be to look for other alternatives for your garden, no matter how much you might like a certain flower or plant.
If you select the right plants from the off, you will also find you do not need to worry about them as time goes by, and will find that they take care of themselves rather than needing constant care and attention. So finding the right plants and using the right decking may be all it takes to have a very beautiful and hassle free garden.
