Bathroom makeovers can add value to homes
Sometimes, consumers source new designer bathroom furniture, shower bath suites and so on simply to enhance their own enjoyment of this part of their homes. After all, the quality of this room can have an impact on people’s overall quality of life. Bathrooms are important spaces and it is therefore beneficial if they represent the ultimate in luxury and beauty.
However, there is another common reason for enhancing bathrooms and that is to boost the value of houses and flats.
By investing in new suites and furniture, homeowners may be able to attract more interest in their abodes and therefore sell them at a better price.
Research conducted recently by Rightmove drew attention to the significance of bathrooms within properties. According to the firm, potential buyers are most put off by dirty bathrooms and kitchens. These rated as the top two turnoffs when searching for a new home.
When bathrooms are old, it can be impossible for their owners to get them looking spic and span. With this in mind, it is no surprise that so many people opt to invest in new designer bathroom furniture, shower bath suites and so on when they are preparing to put their abodes on the market.
Commenting on the importance of this issue, Rightmove director Miles Shipside said: “Kitchens and bathrooms are two of the most personal and well-used areas of the home. Many potential buyers will try to imagine themselves living in the property during a viewing and having their senses offended by a lack of cleanliness or hygiene can be a real barrier.
“Ironically however, cleaning up the kitchen and bathroom to give a sparkling finish can cost far less than other aspects in need of a home makeover.”
These days, it is simple for individuals to source impressive items for their bathrooms.
