Build and race electric rc cars

Do men ever really grow up? Or do their toys just become more expensive? There’s something about cars that just transports guys back to their childhood. Sports cars get them all riled up. They dream of owning one, but most people aren’t that lucky. What’s the next best thing? Electric radio controlled cars. That’s the more realistic option.

This is a great hobby that’s suitable for all ages, kids and those old enough to know better too. It’s a great pastime for dads and sons to share. First up there’s the challenge of building a car. They come in kits that are pretty complex to build. It’s a great excuse to spend some time together working on a fun project. And all those hours spent hunched over the kitchen table pay off when that car is finally built and ready to take off road or out on the track. It’s a real sense of satisfaction and achievement to see it run for the first time.

Electric rc cars come in a huge variety of makes and models. If there’s a high powered off roader or super charged track car, then chances are there will be a scale model replica. Buggies are great for all surfaces and environments, but some enthusiasts prefer the out and out speed of track cars. Either way racing them is great fun. Get some practice in and then join a local group of enthusiasts for organised race meets.

Building and racing these cars is so much fun for kids and adults. Getting started with a basic kit could be the start of a hugely enjoyable journey. It’s a great hobby to get into. Kits make a great birthday or Christmas present for anyone who is car mad. Regardless of how old they are. It doesn’t matter if they’re old enough to know better.
