Choosing What to do With Broken Computers

There are many things that can be done with old or broken computers, and if your computer gives up the ghost it is well worth remembering that not everything about it will have stopped working. In many cases it may be that only the monitor no longer works, whilst in other cases it could simply be the power supply, but should your computer be old and not worth the cost of repairs, then the last thing you will want to do is just throw it away.

Not only will dumping old computers be bad for the environment, but there is also plenty of money to be made from computers.

The easiest way to make money from an old computer will be to look at a laptops trade in site. Whilst it may seem a good idea to sell the computer yourself through an auction site, you are not only going to lose a great deal of money in fees and waste your own time in the process, but you are also going to get next to nothing for something that will be extremely expensive to send to someone.

Laptop trade in UK sites deal with every aspect of the sale for you and will simply put money into your account as soon as they receive the machine. Therefore, even the most clapped out old computer could be worth a decent chunk of money.

It is also worth considering what components of your computer could be worth money. Not only might you be able to turn a working hard drive into an external hard drive, but you may also be able to get a decent amount of money for any upgraded hardware you have added over the years, and in this case it will indeed be best to sell such extras on an auction site.
