Jennifer Aniston shows off diamond ring

When consumers are on the lookout for diamond rings, they can head to the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter to check out their options and those who are trying to source engagement bands may be inspired by the bling Jennifer Aniston is now sporting.

Recently, the actress got engaged to beau Justin Theroux and she has been wearing her impressive engagement ring with pride. The Belfast Telegraph notes it consists of one large diamond that is said to be 18 carats.

The publication stated that the idea behind the ring was to make something completely different to the one Brad Pitt gave her when they got engaged in 1999.

Speaking to Heat magazine, an insider said: “Justin made sure he got one big stone instead of lots of smaller ones so it would be nothing like Jen’s old ring from Brad. He got advice from Jen’s best friend Courteney Cox who encouraged him to get the more natural looking ‘rough cut’ and went for gold because it better reflects the type of jewellery she likes now.”

Meanwhile, another factor in Theroux’s choice was said to be the ring that Pitt gave Angelina Jolie when the pair got engaged earlier this year.

About this, the source said: “Angie’s is all hard edges; Jen’s is softened and natural. Justin’s really good at playing attention to that stuff and decided that this ring totally suited his wife-to-be. Jen is totally happy and is now getting on with planning her wedding.”

Theroux proposed to his high-profile other half in August this year and during a recent TV interview, Anniston spoke of how romantic the gestures was.
