The Epson Expression Premium XP605 in the spotlight

Reviewing this device, PC Advisor noted it is intended to appeal to consumers who need a printer that “majors on photo prints but can also turn out good quality text documents at a reasonable rate”.
Giving the device 3.5 stars out of five, the news source complemented the way it looks, saying: “Epson has opted for a glossy white slim line appearance which wouldn’t look out of place next to your Apple products.”
However, it added that while the input trays “slide into place smoothly”, they can be awkward to remove.
Commenting on the printer’s controls, it added: “Most functions are centred around the touch sensitive control panel which is dominated by a 63mm colour LCD screen. Navigating your way through the options is exceptionally easy and the entire panel can be tilted up 90 degrees to aid viewing.”
As well as the standard USB 2.0 connection to a Mac or Windows PC, it is possible for users to establish Wi-Fi through automatic searching.
Commenting on tests it ran, the review stated that print speeds ranged from four pages per minute for duplex documents to 11 pages per minute for single-sided text. Meanwhile, 10 x 15cm photos averaged 22 seconds each, while A4 printers took one minute and five seconds.
