Traders insurance

There are many different types of jobs available to people who work within the UK. Some people are more suited to office based positions whereas others prefer a more ‘hands on’ approach when it comes down to labour and manual work.
A massive market that hundreds of people work within is the motor trade. This industry has a great scope with many different ‘branches’. A few examples of various trades are car and van sales, breakdown recovery, paint spraying, car transport, servicing and vehicle repair. With such a huge scope to choose from selecting the correct insurance cover is vital.
Motor trade insurance is slightly different from car or van insurance as it allows you to drive as many vehicles as you like on the policy as long as they are being used in conjunction with your motor trade business. For example you may be a self-employed car salesman who needs to pick up three or four cars a month from an auction. This would become very expensive and time consuming if you had to insure each vehicle individually and only for a short period of time before you sold it.
With trade insurance you are able to drive your stock vehicles under the policy to transport them from the auction house back to your home or premises ready to sell them to your customers. With this type of insurance policy you can also opt to have demonstration cover added which will allow your customer to test drive the vehicles so they can get a feel of the car or van before they decide to buy which can be an added selling point for your business. Always remember to make sure you have the correct level of indemnity to cover your stock of vehicles.
When obtaining any insurance quote you must remember to give accurate details otherwise in the event of a claim your insurance may be invalid.
