Villas in Italy – the perfect autumn break

Much as the UK is a great country to live in, getting away from it all is always nice. Especially as the weather starts to turn cold, wet and windy. In Southern Europe the sunshine and warmth lingers longer, so it’s a real treat to get away to Italy during the autumn and leave the cold and the rain far behind.

It’s an incredible country. There’s so much to see and do. Italy is full of incredible cities like Rome, Naples, Florence and Milan, each with their own character, sites and attractions. It’s a huge country and each area has its own distinct feel. From north to south it’s a special place.

For some though the real charm of Italy lies out in the countryside in regions like Tuscany. Villas in Italy are the perfect way to experience life at a different pace in the real heartlands of this great country. A private villa is a very different experience from a hotel or guest house. Hiring a villa is a great option to get away with friends or the family. It’s so nice to be all together and away from it all, enjoying a more authentic Italian experience.

While villas might be perfect for larger groups, they might not suit smaller parties. If there’s only a few people travelling then apartments in Italy might be a better option. More relaxing and personal than a hotel, there are apartments for hire in all of the main tourist hot spots and beyond. It’s always nice to get off the beaten trail and see more of the real country beyond the major attractions.

No matter whether people hire a villa or an apartment, a holiday in Italy is perfect at this time of the year. The UK winter can be so long and dreary so getting away now is a real treat.
