Fearne Cotton steps out in elegant maternity wear

There are lots of celebrities for expectant mums to turn to when they need some fashion inspiration and one woman who has been showing how to wear maternity clothes in style is TV and radio star Fearne Cotton.

Recently, the Daily Mail showed snaps of the glamorous mum-to-be striding to work at the Radio 1 studios in London in a cream and black polka-dot shift dress that she had teamed up with an “eighties-style pussy-bow tie”, black blazer and sunglasses.

The 31-year-old is preparing for the arrival of her first child with boyfriend Jesse Wood and while the pregnancy was only announced last month, her bump is now showing.

According to the Daily Mail, the broadcasting star has not let her fashion sense slip because she is with child. The publication remarked: “While most expectant mums are only too happy to swap their heels for comfortable flats, Fearne looked stunning in stilettos as she launched her fourth collection for the online store last week at London’s Claridges hotel – and yet again wore heeled boots to work today.”

Meanwhile, Cotton may have to source some rather unusual maternity wear at some point. The news source pointed out that while she is set to give birth early next year, she might be walking down the aisle soon afterwards. Recently, Wood revealed the two plan to get hitched in the near future.

Talking about her pregnancy, Cotton told the Mail on Sunday she was “loving” it. She added: “I’m trying to take it easy for the first time ever. Normally I live at a hundred miles an hour so I never get to see any of my friends. This year I’m not doing loads. Instead I’m going to see all my friends, family and boyfriend and just try and have a bit more of a life.”

Regardless of the type of maternity clothes women are after, they should not struggle to find them and many consumers now head online to source their maternity wear.
