It is possible to stretch the budget for lockers further

It’s a new school year and a fresh start for everyone. Running and managing a school or college is a tough undertaking. It can seem like there’s never enough money to go around, yet buildings and classrooms need constant maintenance and attention. A school needs to be properly equipped with everything that the pupils need and in an environment like this things do take a battering. That’s just how it is with hordes of teenagers around.

Take lockers for example. Every establishment needs them end of story. Kids can’t be expected to cart all of their books around with them all day long. Thanks to school lockers they can drop off what they don’t need and then collect it again at the end of the day. It’s one of those essential things that schools must provide.

Choosing lockers is a big decision. They need to be heavy duty and durable, able to stand up to the rigours of the school environment. If they aren’t strong enough and of good enough quality then they want last long. That cheaper outlay becomes a kind of false economy if they need to be replaced sooner rather than later. It doesn’t pay to cut corners.

It’s easy to say that, but administrators looking at limited finance might be left wondering how to replace worn out school lockers, but making their money stretch far enough. There are plenty of suppliers out there, so it does to pay to shop around for the best deals.

Reconditioned units offer great value for money. They’re in great condition, have plenty more years of use left in them, but offer significant costs savings versus brand new options. It’s a great way to stretch that school budget further, but without compromising on quality and putting substandard units in. Perhaps it’s the solution.
