Meanwhile, men should not be afraid to ask for help. According to Ms Isodora, sales personnel love to educate men and show them things that they think will be ideal for them and their partner.

If consumers are on the lookout for something really special, they should forget cotton lingerie and go instead for lace, satin or silk, the specialist advised. However, men should be careful to make sure they appeal to their partner’s individual tastes. For example, if the recipient is a laid back t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, she may not want a frilly, intricate bustier complete with complicated lace-ups or buttons. Instead, something sweet and simple may be better.
