Optional extras for your van insurance

When purchasing your commercial van insurance there are various optional extras that you can choose from that will give you enhanced cover. It’s worth doing some research into these extras as they may be very beneficial to you and your business when purchasing van insurance.

Below are few examples of additional products that are on offer:

Motor Legal Expenses

Motor Legal Expenses will provide you with financial protection if you are involved in a non-fault accident. You will be eligible to claim for compensation for things such as loss of earnings, personal injury compensation and general losses that you may incur.

Breakdown Cover

Breakdown cover will assist you if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having broken down at the side of the road. There are various levels of cover to choose from that can include roadside recovery, onward travel, home start (if your vehicle won’t start at your home address) and European cover.

Tools Insurance

For people that work in the trade, tools insurance is highly recommended. It will protect your tools against accidental damage whilst in transit and theft from the vehicle. Some tool kits can be worth £100s and could be very costly to replace. Without your equipment you would be unable to work which would be detrimental to your business.

Goods in Transit

For people that work in the courier trade, goods in transit will protect you against accidental damage and theft to your customer’s goods. You can also purchase goods in transit insurance for your own goods and materials whilst in transit.

Windscreen cover

Not all vehicle insurance policies will include windscreen cover. Although you may not think it, a new windscreen can cost you £100s. For a small cost all the glass will be covered in your vehicle giving you peace of mind that if anything was to happen you have windscreen cover in place.

For all of the above optional extras please refer to the individual terms and conditions for full details of the cover provided before arranging your insurance.
